“Trauma, inflammatory responses, and/or surgical procedures create Myofascial restrictions that can produce tensile pressures of approximately 2,000 pounds per square inch on pain sensitive structures that do not show up in many of the standard tests (x-rays, myelograms, CAT scans, electromyography, etc.)
Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. This essential “time element” has to do with the viscous flow and the piezoelectric phenomenon: a low load (gentle pressure) applied slowly will allow a viscoelastic medium (fascia) to elongate.
The use of Myofascial Release allows us to look at each patient as a unique individual. Our one-on-one therapy sessions are hands-on treatments during which the therapist uses a multitude of Myofascial Release techniques and movement therapy. We promote independence through education in proper body mechanics and movement, self treatment instruction, enhancement of strength, improved flexibility, and postural and movement awareness.” –myofascialrelease.com
Please wear or bring something that covers you like a swimsuit would, and that you would feel comfortable being exposed in and treated in, and that allows you to stretch and move easily.
Massage Therapy ~ $45/30 min., $85/hour, $125/90 min., $170/2 hours

A table massage appointment could be referred to as a “normal” massage. This means traditional techniques of Swedish and Deep Tissue can be used, along with the aid of bamboo tools, massage cups, and heating therapies (in-your-home sessions will not include these extra things, except heat on the table.) The integration of these techniques and tools will be determined by the therapist and client together. Traditionally, Swedish and Deep Tissue massage are done with the client undressed, and covered by a sheet and blanket the entire time. However, the client ALWAYS has the option to be clothed or not, according to their comfort level.
ADD CBD to your massage! From local business Ripple Organics (and take home the rest of what isn’t used in your session) +$35 extra
“Our intentionally created salve formula, combines essences of plant medicines with 900mg of CBD oil to help facilitate deep relaxation in the muscles, inflammation, and joints throughout the body. We extract our CBD oil from Non GMO, organic hemp plants grown on sustainable farms in Indiana, USA.” -rippleorganics.net

ADD Hot Stone to your massage! (available in the studio only)~ +$50.

This type of massage is just like a Table Massage, except various sized, heated smooth river stones are used as additions to the therapist’s hands. Pressure is still determined between therapist and client, however it is meant for relaxation and relief more so than working out specific issues. Hot Stone Massage is done with the client undressed, and covered by a sheet and blanket the entire time. However, the client ALWAYS has the option to be clothed or not, according to their comfort level.
ADD nap time to the end of your session! (available in studio only) ~ $5 for 10min., $10 for 20min.
Have you ever had a session end and wished you could just lay there for a little bit longer? Or perhaps you tend to fall asleep during your session and don’t want to have to wake up right when it has ended? Well, now, you can book 10 or 20 extra minutes that would start once the therapist has left the room at the end of your session. The therapist will keep track of the time, and will let you know when the time is up. First, they will knock on the door and say something. If that doesn’t wake you up, the therapist will come back in and gently wake you up, then leave the room again so that you can get dressed. You do not need to book this if you just like to take your time getting off the table. This is encouraged always. This add-on is for if you specifically don’t want to get off the table right away.
Cupping Therapy ~ $30

Cupping Therapy is derived from Traditional Chinese Medicine and is a wonderful alternative to medication. It has helped relieve fatigue, headaches, chronic pain, and sicknesses like the common cold. Using suction, cupping increases blood circulation to the area where the cups are placed. This relieves muscle tension, which can improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. Cupping is not recommended for clients over the age of 75, clients who bruise easily, clients with cardiovascular conditions, pregnant women, or clients getting chemotherapy. Cupping is typically performed on the back, and the skin must be hairless in order to work.
$30 (or free if with MFR or Reiki) (15-30 minutes, depending.)
Reiki ~ No Cost. Donations accepted.
No Contraindications (all are eligible to receive!)
Reiki is a simple and non-invasive form of energy healing. Reiki involves a practitioner placing their hands directly above or gently on the body, and goes to various positions, many of which are over the 7 chakras, and any areas of pain or discomfort. The client lays on the table, clothed, with pillows and blankets for comfort, and their only job is to breathe deeply. Essential oils, crystals, and crystal bowl sound healing are all tools that may be used in a session. Sessions are typically for 30 to 60 minutes, and begin and end with checking the balance of each chakra. Reiki puts the mind in a meditative state, relaxes the body, and allows the body to recharge it’s innate healing abilities, strengthen it’s immune system, relieve pain, clear toxins, promote creativity, treat it’s symptoms and causes of illness, release blocked or suppressed feelings, and so much more. Reiki is now used in prestigious hospitals throughout the world. It originated in Japan in the late 1800’s with a man named Mikao Usui.
